About the Author:

I am a 27 year old graduate  of the State University of New York's College at Brockport. My degree is a Bachelor of Science with a major in history. I have been collecting military surplus rifles, and Mosin Nagant rifles in particular, since April of 2009 when I purchased my first refurbished M1891/30 Ex-Dragoon from a local gun shop. History is my passion and I have always had a huge interest in warfare, especially World War II.

Collecting these old rifles allows me to not only preserve an important piece of history, but also own an object that very well likely was used in the course of the conflict. My deep seeded love of history is what drove me to create this website and help inform other collectors like myself about this interesting sub-category of Mosin Nagant collecting. I can only hope this website will inspire others to research more heavily into other fields within the Mosin Nagant collectors community as many others within the field have done to me.
